About Tom McGarry:

Tom McGarry is a housing lawyer and Spokane fire commissioner, helping to lead first responders and workers on the front-line of the pandemic. McGarry also fights to keep people in their homes and to reduce homelessness. McGarry will work to rebuild an economy that works for everyone, not just big corporations. McGarry knows the value of skills and technical training beyond college. That’s why he proposes creating a career and technical education diploma for Washington State high schools. This program would provide an alternate pathway to traditional high school graduation.

We cannot rely on foreign countries for essential medical supplies. McGarry will invest in medical supply manufacturing here in Puget Sound, to grow manufacturing jobs and ensure we have the health supplies we need. McGarry will fight to reduce the cost of prescription drugs and limit out-of-pocket costs on all health insurance programs. He will also work to protect coverage for people with pre-existing conditions, including those who test positive for the coronavirus.

McGarry will also fight for more local investments in our schools, including expanding access to mental health services and counselors for all students. He will work to balance remote learning with safe in-person learning and continuous education and they will ensure every kid has access to the digital tools and high-speed broadband they need to continue to learn.

About Jenny Graham:

Graham’s values are out of step with Washington.

Endangering public health. Graham have taken thousands of dollars from the health insurance and pharmaceutical industry. Now, even during a pandemic, she want to roll back health care programs like Medicaid and protections for people with pre-existing conditions. Instead, Graham wants to allow only private insurance that can charge people hundreds of dollars more for pre-existing conditions like diabetes, cancer and the coronavirus.

Opposes vaccines. Graham ignores the advice of scientists and doctors – she does not believe in vaccines. She voted against expanding the Measles Mumps Rubella vaccine even while Southwest Washington was dealing with a widespread measles outbreak. And while we are hit by the worst public health crisis in 100 years, Graham says she does not want a COVID-19 vaccine.

Graham regularly engages with and shares conspiracy theories online that say the US Government is operated by a ring of pedophiles that kidnap and sex traffic children. She believes that most of the half a million children kidnapped each year end up in sex dungeons with literal demons. When a reporter interviewed her about these views, Graham lost her temper and threatened the reporter using profanities. She threatened to sue the paper and Republican leaders had to publicly apologize for Graham’s unprofessional behavior.
