What: A reception for people interested in working on or running legislative campaigns. Hosted by the House and Senate Democratic Campaign Committees.

When: Wednesday, February 15th, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm

Where: Mercato Ristorante, 111 Market Street NW, Olympia, WA 98501

Food provided.  Come with multiple copies of your resume and get two drink tickets.

The House Democratic Campaign Committee (HDCC) and the Senate Democratic Campaign Committee (SDCC) are looking for energetic, detail oriented people to run State Legislative Campaigns throughout Washington.  No campaign or political experience is required.  We are currently interviewing for positions beginning in March and April.

WHO WE ARE
The HDCC and SDCC are non-profit, political organizations in charge of winning the Majority in the Washington State Legislature every two years.  We coordinate legislative campaigns on a statewide level and are responsible for seeing that all of the current Democratic House and Senate members are re-elected, and that challenger candidates win seats against incumbent Republican members.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LEGISLATIVE CAMPAIGN MANAGERS

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the campaign working with the candidate, HDCC/SDCC, and consultant to:
  • Create and manage candidate’s daily schedule and community outreach
  • Execute the campaign plan including direct voter contact, canvassing, public relations and volunteer management
  • Establish and implement a fundraising plan and manage campaign budgets
  • Work with other campaigns to implement an overall Get-Out-The-Vote strategy

Job Requirements College degree preferred but not required. Energy, organization and writing skills a must. No campaign/political experience necessary. Must be willing to work long hours, evenings, and weekends.

Job Location Campaigns are located throughout the state including the greater Seattle area, King, Pierce, Snohomish, Kitsap, Spokane, Clark, and Thurston Counties, and other locations.
